What inspired you to write ‘No Good Deed’?
The spark for ‘No Good Deed’ came from my fascination with the stories of women who have shaped history but often remain unrecognized. I wanted to explore the impact of these women, particularly those who have fought for justice and equality, and bring their stories to a wider audience through fiction.

How did you approach researching the historical elements in the novel?
Research was a crucial part of the process. I spent countless hours reading historical documents, biographies, and archival materials to ensure accuracy. I also visited key locations featured in the book to get a sense of the atmosphere and context. This groundwork helped me create a vivid and authentic backdrop for the story.
What challenges did you encounter while writing the book?
One of the biggest hurdles was balancing historical accuracy with engaging storytelling. It was important to remain true to the facts while also crafting a narrative that would captivate readers. Additionally, weaving together the lives of multiple characters from different periods required careful planning and attention to detail.
Are there particular themes you hope readers take away from the novel?
Absolutely. I hope readers reflect on the importance of courage, resilience, and the power of collective action. The novel highlights how ordinary individuals can drive significant change, even in the face of adversity. I also wanted to emphasize the value of solidarity and standing up for what is right.
Can you share your writing routine?
My writing process is fairly structured. I set aside dedicated time each day, usually in the morning, to focus on writing. I find that outlining the plot beforehand helps me stay on track, but I also allow room for creativity as the story develops. Regular breaks and walks are essential for clearing my mind and finding inspiration.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
My biggest piece of advice is to persevere. Writing a novel is a long journey, and there will be moments of doubt, but persistence is key. Read widely, write regularly, and don’t be afraid to seek feedback. Most importantly, trust your voice and the stories you want to tell.
What are you working on next?
I’m currently developing another historical novel, this time focusing on a different era and set of characters. I’m excited to delve into new research and continue exploring the lives of remarkable women from the past.
